Happy National Moon Day

My Happily Ever After Story

Everyone deserves their very own Happily Ever After. Everyone deserves to find love, and to live a life of love. It may take a try or two, a few broken hearts, false starts, but eventually, and sometimes when you least expect it, you find your true love.

My true love found me after my first husband and father of my two young children and I called it quits. It was an amicable, mutual decision, but left me heartbroken and sworn off men forever.

Nearly three years into forever, I received a message on MySpace (remember that?) asking about the Pagan path and wanting to know if we could talk because he’d like to learn more.

Now, eighteen years later, we are celebrating our 11th anniversary marking the day me and my very best friend handfasted beneath a setting sun and rising full moon.

It was magical then and it is still magical to this very day.

Ironically, July 20 is also National Moon Day. It was so important for us both to be married at a time when the sun was setting and a full moon was rising. And we had no idea it was National Moon Day.

So Happy Anniversary to us and Happy Moon Day to you!
